Summery/Spoilers: August 31st ep. Picks up directly after Natalia makes her fist pumping inducing speech to Olivia at towers and leaves a relunctantly charmed Olivia sitting there staring after her.
A/N: OK this is a first ever attempt at writing fanfiction. It is completely unbeta'd so if it truely sucks it's entirely my fault. I have never written for existing characters before so this should be interesting. Maybe even a bit painful, but here goes nothing. This is kinda how I wish that scene would have played out afterwards. Please let me know if I posted this right or if I need to make any changes, cuz I honestly have no idea how to do all this, I'm seriously winging it. Comments are most welcome!!!
Olivia sat stunned, watching Natalia walk away from her. Seems she'd been doing alot of that lately, but damned if it wasn't the nicest view she'd seen in the month the other woman had been gone. Which brought her back to the reason why she was sitting here watching the woman she loved walk away from her yet again after declaring in no uncertain terms that they were meant to be and that she would wait for Olivia. A smile ghosted her lips at that thought, Natalia was willing to wait for her. She leaned back in the chair for a moment considering the most recent turn of events. They had made plans to go shopping tonight, then Olivia had given into the fear that had been hounding her since Natalia's heart stopping reappearnce, and called Matt...of all people...to have dinner with her. She rolled her eyes at herself over that as she reached out, picked up her glass of wine and took a small sip.
She had to admit, seeing Natalia just show up like that, interrupting her "date" with Matt, declaring they needed to talk and sending the flabbergasted man on his way, had been rather...possessive. She realized with a grimace that she liked that. She swirled some more wine in her mouth and tapped the edge of her glass against her temple, allowing her thoughts to wander. Ever since the latina had shown up at the park she had been saying the same thing. She loved her, she wanted to be with her, she wanted to raise her baby with her. That she would wait.
Snorting softly in frustration, at herself, at Natalia, at the whole stupid situation. Olivia plunked her glass down and stood up from the table, after paying for the non-meal she strode purposefully out of Towers. She and little Ms. Rivera had some things to clear up and she was tired of playing cat and mouse. This, whatever this was, needed to be resolved now so they could both get on with their lives.
As she reached her car in the parking lot she pulled out her phone and pressed the speed dial number for Natalia while unlocking and sliding into her car.
"Olivia?" Was the surprised, though happy answer she got when Natalia picked up on the second ring.
"Where are you?" she demanded, starting her car and backing out of the space.
"I'm almost home, why? What's wrong?" Natalia replied, worry clear in her tone. Olivia's lips thinned into a hard line as she pulled out onto the street and began what would be a very quick drive out to the farmhouse.
"Stay there, I'm on my way. We need to talk." She told her as she ended the call and tossed the phone onto the seat next to her, turning her attention to driving, considering she was going well above the speed limit. Yes, Olivia Spencer was well and truely done playing games.
Natalia looked at her phone warily before closing it and dropping it back into her purse while pulling into the driveway. She sat there for a few minutes gripping the steering wheel so tightly her knuckles turned white, just trying to get her breathing under control. She knew full well why Olivia was on her way to see her so soon after her little show at Towers. She had finally managed to push the proud woman to her breaking point. She was aware that once the obviously annoyed, she snorted at the understatment, woman arrived that Olivia would once again insist they couldn't be together. A slow smile worked it's way across the dark haired womans face, well we'll just see about that, she thought to herself as she unbuckled and exited the car, nearly running up to the house and inside after unlocking the door. She knew it wouldn't be long before the hotelier arrived, Olivia thought speed limits were only friendly suggestions, after all, and she had to be ready.
Olivia pulled into the driveway about ten minutes later and cut the engine. Taking a deep breath to steady herself she climbed out and made her way up to the house. Raising her hand to knock she gasped when the door swung up at the first tap to reveil a dark kitchen. Cautiously stepping inside and closing the door firmly behind her she called out.
"Natalia?" frowning when she didn't receive an answer and truely starting to get worried, she made her way into the living room when she spotted a soft glow of light. Stopping dead in her tracks, Olivia took in the scene before her. Standing in the middle of the room was Natalia, and surrounding the beautiful owner of her second hand heart, was every single candle the woman owned, lit and casting alluring shadows across the latina's face and body. Olivia swallowed hard past her suddenly dry throat. "Nat?" She rasped uncertainly, not knowing what to expect from the woman standing before her quietly. Her heart started pounding when Natalia smiled softly and began a slow walk towards her.
"Olivia." She said softly as she reached her, "I know why your here, I know what your going to say," the older woman quirked an eyebrow at that making the object of her frustration smirk, "so let me save you the trouble of once again telling me we can't be together, and that you don't trust me. I know. Ok? I KNOW." She reached up and cupped a soft cheek tenderly in her palm, the smile that graced her face nearly stopping the rapidly beating heart of the terrified....hopeful?...woman in front of her. Her next words sent that beleagured heart to pounding hard enough that she could see the other womans pulse throbbing in her throat. She moved closer, pressing the length of her body against Olivia's causing both women to gasp at the contact. She leaned up until their mouths where barely an inch apart before speaking again.
"Let me show you why we should be together. Let me show you why I came back. Let me love you, Olivia. In every way." With that soft declaration she closed the miniscule distance between them and claimed those luscious lips she'd been dreaming about for so long, in a kiss that left no doubt in Olivia's mind how much this woman not only loved her, but wanted her, desired her.
Olivia moaned as Natalia kissed her, without her concious consent her arms wrapped themselves around the slightly trembling body before her. A part of her mind registering exactly how much it had taken for this quiet reserved woman to take this step for her, it showed her finally, that Natalia was serious about their relationship. That realization soothed alot of the hurt and the anger that her sudden dissapearance had caused. But it didn't magically make everything okay, they still needed to talk about many things. Groaning softly as a soft tongue teased her bottom lip, she tightened her arms around the smaller woman, feeling her soul finally breath in relief as she met that inquisitve tongue with her own before slowly ending the tenderly passionate kiss. Resting their foreheads together, the two women let their breathing calm down, still holding each other tightly, stroking each others back and hair. Just needing to touch each other after so long of not being able to have this intimacy, this love, flow between them without the anger and pain of the past few weeks. Olivia opened her eyes and gazed into the brown depths of the other half of her soul, feeling as though she had finally come home after a long absence. She shook her head and chuckled softly at herself. Natalia smiled and wrinkled her brow at Olivia wondering why she was laughing.
"Just thinking about what fools we've both been. You for not talking to me, telling me what was going on and just running way like that. Me for not letting you talk once you came back. Seems like fear has been running our lives since we met," she paused and brushed some hair back from the teary eyed face so close to hers "I don't want to be afraid anymore. I want....NEED to trust you again. I need to know you're not going to run away again, that you run to me instead of from me when something comes up. I need to know that you can....will do this. I can't take another heart break Natalia." She finished on a pained gasp, fighting tears. Natalia drew in a deep breath and let it out slowly, meeting the beautiful scared green eyes gazing so intently into her own. She let Olivia see the unshakeable determination, and the peace that decision brought her before reaching up again and bestowing a sweet kiss on that trembling mouth.
"I'm not going anywhere. Not without you or Emma. Never again." She cupped that beloved face and let her own tears fall as she whispered. "I'm so sorry I left like that, that I stayed gone so long, that I hurt you so badly. One day I hope you can forgive me, and believe that I'll never do that again. One day I hope you'll be able to trust me again. I know we can't go back, I don't want to. That was a dark confusing place, and it scared me and I ran. But this, right now, this moment, is where we decide whether or not it's worth it. This is our second chance, Liv. I want this with every thing I am. I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life showing you how much. Please, honey. Tell me you want the same thing, that it's not too late for us." Natalia pleaded as she fought the sobs beginning to shake her body. A strangled cry wrenched itself from Olivia's throat as she pulled Natalia against her and buried her face in that dark mass of hair.
"Yes. Yes I want that too. I want forever with you, baby." Both women gave into the intense emotion coursing between them and sank to the floor in the middle of the living room clinging to each other desperately. Later, they would discuss all the other things they would have to deal with as a couple, like how they were going to co-exsist with Frank and raise the baby, how they would deal with Rafe's issues with his mother being with not only another woman, but Olivia in particular. And how they would explain it to Emma. The last one wasn't really something that worried them, after all the little girl knew long before they did what the truth was, indeed if it hadn't been for her presentation they may have never have reached this point. Never admitted their love for each other, they decided to do something extra special for Emma for christmas this year, maybe some more ducks were in order. As they cuddled on the floor, niether woman could deny the rightness of what they were feeling. How complete they felt, how whole. To Natalia, she had never felt more close to God, than she did when surrounded by Olivia's love, and Olivia, decided she just might have to give God a second look; if for no other reason than to thank the big guy for second chances. For Natalia.
